bKind2Mind Ltd is founded on the principles of Kindness as a Therapy (KaaT), a term coined by our founder, Professor Lawrence Rajendran. Lawrence is renowned professor of Neuroscience and Alzheimer’s disease, the former Deputy Director of the UK-Dementia Research Institute and van Geest Chair of Dementia Research at King’s College London, Ukand Co-Director of Psychiatry Research at the University of Zurich, Switzerland engaging in cutting edge basic and translational research. He is also a consultant/advisor for a few pharmaceutical companies, patient-centered organisations and several researchers and organisations. He has won many prestigious awards including the Top 100 scientists of 2009, the Presidents medal of honor from Panama, The Grand Young Scientist Prize, The German Neuroscience Prize, The Schilling Prize, The Hirnliga Prize, The Breuer Award, etc. He is also the Founder and Chairman of ScienceMatters, Wats’on Health Media Ltd and bKind2Mind Ltd. The untold side of Lawrence is that he was born and raised poor in a slum in Chennai, erstwhile Madras, diagnosed with Bipolar Affective Disorder but acknowledges and attributes his success to many factors including mother, sisters, friends but also more importantly the kindness of strangers during his journey. In the aim of giving back to the strangers and society, he founded bKind2Mind.com and bKind2Mind.org.
